With the fall 2021 anime season coming to an end, it’s time to start hyping all the great winter 2022 animated movies that are coming to theaters.

20. Slow Loop

Release date: January 7

If you love the “cute girls do cute things” taste of life, then Slow Loop will be in your sights. A fishing-themed manga written by Maiko Uchino. The film revolves around Hiyori, a girl who enjoys fishing by the beach, an activity passed down to her by her late father. On a day like any other, on the beach, she runs into Koharu by chance and even more coincidentally, it’s her step-sister.

19. Goodbye, DonGlees!

Release date: February 18

The film depicts a magical meeting of the boys “DonGlees”. Concluding an adventure with friends that began on an unusual summer vacation, the boys head to Iceland – the land of fire and ice. The boys found the “treasure” by looking at themselves and traveling back to the world…

This technical part premiered in December 2021, but it is considered part of winter 2022.
